The µlogger RVIP - Our General purpose data logger
The µlogger (pronounced micro-logger) is a small, high quality and versatile battery powered
remote logger that can be left gathering data at the logging site
for over year. Data can then be offloaded to a PC and displayed,
manipulated, analysed and printed. The µlogger has four inputs channels
(Resistance, Voltage, Internal Temperature & pulses) or alternatively
can be configured to log Digital time domain events.
The µlogger is designed for anybody who wants to gather data inexpensively and accurately
without having a PC or other bulky and expensive equipment at the
logging site. The logger is supplied with a small light and strong case.
The logging parameters can be easily set up back at your base with the aid of the supplied
software; the µlogger can then be taken to the logging site, left
and collected up to two years later.
The µlogger offers 12-bit 0.025% resolution with accuracy up to ±0.25%; up to 32,000 readings
can be stored.
As well as using the µlogger to measure data in native format (voltage, resistance, temperature
and pulse frequency) the µlogger can be used with alternative sensors,
leads and supplied lookup tables to measure parameters like current,
light levels, barometric pressure, humidity, strain or 4-20 ma.
Lookup tables are used to linearise and scale sensor outputs; a
wide variety of look-up tables are available free of charge.
Four separate
channels, including one connected to an internal temperature sensor.
Up to 12 bit (0.025%)
resolution with a basic 0.25% accuracy, 8-bit and 10-bit resolution can
also be set to maximise memory usage.
Four basic input
channels; one, two, three, or all four channels can log simultaneously.
Lookup tables can be applied to all channels to change measured units or
altering the range.
1: External channel for measuring resistance (0 - 50k).
2: External channel for measuring voltage (0 - 2v >1MOhm).
3: Internal channel for measuring temperature (-40°C to +85°C) within
± 1°C (at 25°C).
4: External channel for measuring pulses per sampling interval
Channels can be
scaled and linearised for a wide variety of sensors and inputs.
Can operate for
over two years on an AA battery.
Friendly PC configuration
and display software.
Up to 32000 measurements
(depending on resolution required)
Alternatively
the µlogger can be configured to record up to 8000 time domain events with
one second resolution
User settable debounce (from 1sec to 1 hour) on time domain events.
Time and pulse inputs can either be 'active' (i.e. a voltage pulse) or passive
(i.e. a switch).
Logging interval 1sec. - 12 hours.
1 AA user replaceable battery (lasts over two years with standard use - supplied with a µlogger).
Supplied in 'standard'
case with connector for external sensors.
High specification
industrial grade components used throughout for maximum reliability.
Wake up pulse from
µlogger for external sensors.
