Zeta-tec's temperature data loggers

Temperature measurement

Zeta-tec currently sell six different loggers that can be used for temeperature measurement all designed to measure temperature in the range -40°C to + 85°C. If you just want to measure temperature we would normally recommend model 4Therm (USB) combined with our Type 2 thermistor based temperature sensors - the other loggers combine temperature measurement with other features. Three of these loggers are available for USB connection and the other three are available for serial (RS232) connection. Unless you have a requirement for an RS232 connection we would recommend the USB loggers; they have much faster offloads, more accuracy and more memory.

Most of these loggers are designed to work with our high accuracy thermistor based temperarture sensors. Modern high accuracy thermistors (ours are specified as ±0.2ºC) are an economical and accurate method of measuring environmental temperatures (-40ºC to +85ºC). They do not require the 3 or 4 wire connection that Platinum RTD sensors require and they are generally more accurate than thermocouples in this range.
